I love analyzing people and situations, people say its a gift. Unfortunately, I have great difficulty analyzing who I really am and I'm already in my early twenties.

I hope this online journal will help me sort myself out or this would be the best venue to vent out pent up cold anxiety...and share the things that make me warm, sweet and happy     (or sappy!).

  Love's Evil Twin Brother

This has been a slow week for me. After seeing my insurance midterms I realized that I should find a way to wake myself up. My mind has been experiencing this kind of slumber.

I'm so proud of the freshmen that I helped (kinda) prepare for the persons debate this week. I made new friends in their batch. I have also found myself at home in my new organization where although prima facie tyrannical is actually understanding.

I met a new friend from the 1st year. Interestingly, she talks, laughs, and acts like me. No she's not some sort of twin but I actually realized that she has characteristics that's similar to mine. She's talkative, perky and can easily hang out with other people. Just like me she can end up annoying people unintentionally. You just can't please everybody.

I saw this interesting bit from the net written by some guy named ron:

"Love's evil twin brother, infatuation, is an obsessive compulsion to receive emotional support from another person. "Falling in love" in this manner involves the irrational expectation that the same emotion will magically appear in the other person. If this fails to occur, the infatuated person feels hurt. Infatuation is common, especially among singles, and especially younger, inexperienced folks. The Ancient Greeks expressed pity for the man suffering this sort of love, a "madness" sent by the Gods in their view.

Those prone to becoming infatuated are often lonely and generally feel discontented with their lives. Long-term, these individuals should try to break free from the patterns of behavior that have caused them unhappiness."
